CANDLE VESSELS · VOLUME INTO MASS

Fill the space.
Know the batch.

Estimate the material mass for a set of equal vessels. Enter a usable fill volume or inside geometry, your material’s density and any extra batch reserve.

1

Define one vessel’s usable fill

Use the volume up to your chosen fill level, not the entire rim capacity. Geometry assumes straight inside walls and excludes any unmodelled displacement.

2

Enter material and batch details

0.9 g/mL is an illustrative number, not a density supplied for your wax. Use your measured or appropriate material data for the intended fill condition. Reserve adds a percentage of the required mass.

ONE VOLUME. ONE STATED DENSITY.

Volume is space.

Enter the actual usable volume, or calculate it from straight inside dimensions up to your chosen fill level.

Density is yours.

Multiplying mL by g/mL gives grams. The result depends on the density you supply for the material being poured.

Reserve is extra.

Six equal vessels need six fill amounts. Your optional reserve is added to that batch mass, rather than poured into each vessel.
